Story: Robot Vacuum

The robot vacuum is really neat!
The robot vacuum sucks up bits.
If a red light flashes on the vacuum it means that we have to charge its batteries at its home.
The lighthouse blocks the robot vacuum from going anywhere else.
If the green light flashes on the lighthouse that means that the battery is running out.
Under the robot vacuum there is a little spinner that picks up the bits.
If the vacuum misses its home it tries again!

Science: Solids, Liquids and Gases (Part 2)

We put ice into a cup.
Ice is a solid.
We put the cup into hot water.
The ice cubes melted away.
They became water.
Water is a liquid.
We put the water in a pan on the stove.
The water went away.
It became a gas.
The stove is hot.
Heat made the liquid change to a different state of matter.
We also put water in the freezer and it turned into an ice cube.
Cold changed a liquid to a solid.

Story: Story About Christmas

Sam gave me an advent calendar and a book!
We decorate the tree with fancy balls.
When we turn the Christmas tree on it is very cool.
We put Christmas music on.
We decorate lights on the railings.
I do math on Christmas Day.
I do stories on Christmas Day.
People put gift tags on the presents.
Santa brings us one present.
They are very neat.
I wonder what I'll get this year?
We unwrap the presents.

Story: A Trip to the Hospital

I was in a bed.
The bed had wheels.
I went on a ride downstairs.
I got my X-ray.
The X-ray was neat.
I had to sit down in the chair, be still and look at Nemo then look at Dad.
I watched a movie.
They put a mask on my face.
We went home and saw all the Christmas lights.

Science: Solids, Liquids and Gases (Part 1)

Everything is made of matter.
There are three states of matter.
The three states of matter are: liquid, solid and gas.
Examples of solids: wood, blocks, bricks, stones, LEGOs, tables, trees.
Examples of liquids: water, juice.
Examples of gases: air, tooting, steam.
Salt is a solid but it flows like liquid.

Science: Organizing Things into Categories

Organizing means sorting.
Category means group.
We looked at the cutlery drawer.
It had different things in it.
We organized the cutlery into the right places.
These places are called categories.
We read a book about same and different.
We organized buttons by sorting them.
We sorted them by size.
We sorted them by colour.
We sorted them by number of holes.
We sorted them by leather, metal, plastic, bone, stone.
We played a memory game.
We organized the things on the tray into categories.
Then it was easier to remember the stickers, pencil crayons, crayons and LEGOs.

Story: Grana and Papa's Party

I played in my playroom.
I played pachinko.
I played with the money machines.
Then I played pachinko again.
Once, the balls in the pachinko got stuck and I got too many payoffs.
But it all worked out fine.
We ate chocolate peanut butter circles.
I played with my cars.
I ate a fruit salad.
It had baby oranges in it.
It had grapes in it.
I watched the cars go by.
When you put the wooden thing in the bar and when you see the red light go on it means there is more power in it.
I went home in the dark.
